Woman extracted $500k from local dentist, NRP says

A St. Catharines woman has been charged with stealing more than $500,000 over the course of three years from the Ridgeway dentistry practice where she worked.

She was arrested at the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after an arrest warrant was issued.

As well as fraud over $5,000, she is also charged with money laundering.

Niagara Regional Police were alerted to the crime by her employer last November.

Jennifer Leslie, 37, was held for a bail hearing today.
