Town council endorses Bay Beach project

Town council decided in a special closed door meeting Wednesday night to proceed with the Bay Beach condominium project.

Councillors received a report from the Town solicitor reviewing the options and possible consequences of reneging on the Molinaro deal.

They rose from the closed meeting and held a registered vote with Bob Steckley, John Hill and Don Lubberts opposing the motion to continue working with the Molinaro Group on the project.

The Town will also collaborate with Molinaro to respond to the application filed by opponents of the plan to appeal the recent Ontario Municipal Board decision in court.

No further details are available.
