Second drug robbery suspect arrested

Police have arrested a second suspect in an attempted murder during a drug robbery at a Garrison Road home that was formerly used as a massage parlor.

Darren Agard, 30, of Brampton was arrested yesterday in Brampton with the cooperation of the Peel Regional Police. He joins 23-year-old Adam John Thorndyke to face multiple charges in the incident that occurred Aug. 2.

Niagara Regional Police say two men entered the home to steal a large quantity of marijuana. A handgun was pointed and during a struggle the victim was stabbed.

The suspects fled in a pick up truck and were located on Montrose Road where a chase ensued, the gun was ditched and a police car was rammed and one of the men were arrested. The gun was found.
