Noyes seeks recount

After losing by four votes, candidate Ann-Marie Noyes wants a recount of the mayoral election results.
The four-term councillor made the request shortly after the Town clerk declared the results official at noon today.
It will be up to the current council to decide to hold a recount. It is not automatic unless there is a tie vote. If council passes a resolution for a recount, it must be held within 15 days.
Alternately, an eligible elector can try to get a court order to hold a recount.
Clerk Carolyn Kett will prepare a report for council on the results and the recount request.
