Niagara-on-the-Lake employees reached a four-year collective agreement with the Town on Dec. 16, 2013, that provided for two per cent hikes in each of the next three years and 2.5 per cent for 2017.
“I am very pleased both sides were able to come to a reasonable agreement,” stated CAO Mike Galloway. “We believe this is a fair outcome for our employees while respecting the direction of Council on behalf of the residents we serve.”
A statement from the employees bargaining group noted, “We feel the agreement reflects the quality of work we do on behalf of residents and treats employees in a fair and equitable manner.”
