Young children and grandchildren of NHS staff, physicians and volunteers were invited to participate in a contest to design the artwork with 67 entries received.

The winning entry was chosen by interim president and chief executive officer Sue Matthews and interim chief of staff Dr. Joanna Hope.

“We were drawn to Kasey’s card illustrating a hospital surrounded by the holistic spirit of caring, the type of caring each and every patient deserves when they come to us at the NHS,” said Matthews.

Kasey is the daughter of Kallie and Steve Buttner who are both therapists at Greater Niagara General Site.
