Marissa’s body recovered

Police discovered the remains of Marissa Whalen this afternoon on the Six Nations Reserve.

The body of the two-year-old girl was found in a wooded area near a trail where investigators had been concentrating their search in Ohsweken near Brantford.

A third person, Amanda Dipota, 30, of Niagara Falls has also been charged with accessory to murder after the fact and indignity to human remains. She is the sister of Rainbow Hill who was charged with second-murder and the toddler’s mother Roseanne Whalen, is also charged with accessory and indignity.

Positive identification of the body will take a few days.
