How to sell to the federal government

Business people are invited to attend a two-part workshop to learn about federal government procurement and grants and subsidy opportunities available for small businesses.

Seating is limited to 50 people who must respond before June 12 to attend the workshop to be held on Wednesday, June 26 at the Fort Erie Library Centennial branch.

There is no cost and attendees can register by calling the Business Success and Loan Centre at 871-7331.

As well as the library and BSL, other sponsors of the event are the Fort Erie Economic Development and Tourism Corporation and the Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce.

The three-hour session starts at 9:30 a.m. with a seminar by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprise on the federal government purchasing process: how to register, build relationships, search for opportunities, obtain security clearances, how to bid.

The second part is a presentation by Mentor Works Ltd., a private company that helps secure government funding for research, development, export and growth plans.
