Police in Oakville last Wednesday arrested a St. Catharines man for impersonating a police officer.
Halton Regional Police say Peter Hunt, 48, was dressed in a dark blue uniform and equipped with body armour, police style belt, bear spray and handcuffs and drove a black Ford Crown Victoria equipped with police-style lights.
He had previously been charged by OPP for impersonating a peace officer.
Niagara Regional Police are investigating four incidents of impersonation in St. Catharines, Port Colborne and Smithville, but offered no information about how the suspect was dressed or the vehicle he was driving and how it was equipped.
