A St. Catharines woman has been charged with stealing more than $500,000 over the course of three years from the Ridgeway dentistry practice where she worked. She was arrested at the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after an arrest warrant was issued.

Trash collection delayed »

Residents of Fort Erie whose trash and organics were not collected before today (Jan. 1) must wait until next Saturday, but they can put out three bags. The Region reports various delays across Niagara. Collection will resume its normal schedule next week. Meanwhile, the usual holiday bump in the schedule is in effect this week.

Male, 18, arrested in Ridgeway gun theft »

Police arrested an 18-year-old Fort Erie male in connection with the theft of guns from a Gorham Road home in October. A 23-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his pick up truck hich came  to rest upside down in the ditch on Burger Road near Bowen Road. The accident occurred around 10 p.m. He was the only occupant. Police would like to talk to any witness.
